In late 2004-early 2005, plans were made for a British Ian Curtis biopic called Control, based on material from Deborah Curtiss book Touching from a Distance. As an indelible homage to an important band and an explosive musical era, this rates 4 stars. Curtis was portrayed by Sean Harris in the 2003 film 24 Hour Party People, which dramatized the rise and fall of Factory Records from the 1970s to the 1990s.
